No Surprise Billing

Notice to clients and prospective clients:

Under the law, health care providers need to give clients who do not have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the expected charges for medical services, including psychotherapy services.

You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency healthcare services, including psychotherapy services.

You can ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service, or at any time during treatment.

If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.

For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, or how to dispute a bill, see your Estimate, or visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises.

Therapy may be covered in full or in part by your health insurance or Employee Assistance Plan. I am in-network with the health plans listed, which usually means you will have to pay only your copayment and/or deductible (if any) at our session. Please check with your insurance to confirm that I am in-network with your specific plan. Clients are responsible for checking their benefits/coverage prior to start of therapy and informing me of any changes that may occur with your insurance throughout our work together.  I will take care of the billing for you.

If you are wanting to engage in tele-health therapy, please also confirm with your insurance that this will be covered.

For those not utilizing insurance, my fee is $110 per 50- minute session. Longer sessions will be prorated accordingly.

Payment of the full fee or insurance costs are due at each session.  All clients will be required to place a credit card on file utilizing a system called "IVY PAY" (a HIPPA secure platform). This system will charge you after each session your fee. You will then receive a text message receipt.

If you are interested in using Out of Network Benefits, I can provide you with a "Superbill" (a receipt of all sessions you have had), which you can then submit to your insurance company. You will still be responsible for the regular fee, however, some insurance companies may cover part or all of the fee, while others may not. I encourage you to call your insurance company and find out the details of your mental health coverage.

If you do not show up for an appointment or cancel without 24 hours notice, you will be charged a late fee.
